Many of my clients come to me with concerns about their breast enhancement results looking or feeling unrealistic. One option for breast augmentation at my Lafayette practice west of Baton Rouge is a fat transfer procedure. This method uses your own tissue to enhance your breasts. Here’s what you need to know:
Are You a Candidate?
For a successful fat transfer breast augmentation, you should have good overall health and realistic expectations. You must have enough fat to harvest from your own body and good skin elasticity in the areas where fat is removed and in your breasts. Your doctor will assess whether you meet these requirements and are a good candidate.
The Benefits
This augmentation method offers many benefits, including faster recovery, minimal scarring, and no foreign body placement. Because fat is removed from other areas of the body, such as the abdomen, hips, or thighs, you don’t just end up with fuller breasts; you also get a trimmer body.
Not for Everyone
Not all women will find the subtle results created by fat transfer breast augmentation to be the best option for them. For these women, breast implants remain a safe, effective, and popular choice that can create extremely natural-looking results.
